Panel Management
Learn how to create and manage ticket panels in the Ticky Dashboard.
What are Panels?
Panels are interactive messages with buttons that users click to create tickets. They’re sent to Discord channels and provide an easy way for users to open support tickets.
Creating a Panel
Basic Panel
- Go to Panels in the dashboard
- Click Create Panel
- Fill in the required fields:
- Title: Button label (e.g., “Create Support Ticket”)
- Description: Text shown in the panel embed
- Channel: Where to send the panel
- Click Create
Advanced Options
When creating a panel, you can configure:
- Categories: Link to specific ticket categories
- Confirmation Modal: Ask users to confirm before creating ticket
- Reason Modal: Collect a reason when creating ticket
- Form: Create application forms with custom questions
- Custom Embed: Customize colors, images, and text
Panel Types
Standard Panel
A regular button that creates a ticket when clicked.
Use Cases:
- General support tickets
- Quick ticket creation
- Simple ticket systems
Form Panel
Creates an application form with custom questions.
Use Cases:
- Staff applications
- Detailed submissions
- Multi-step processes
Panel Configuration
Embed Customization
Customize the panel’s appearance:
- Title: Panel embed title
- Description: Panel embed description
- Color: Embed color (hex code)
- Image: Embed image URL
- Footer: Custom footer text
Modal Options
Confirmation Modal
Ask users to confirm before creating a ticket:
- Enable “Confirmation Required”
- Set confirmation message
- Users will see a modal before ticket creation
Reason Modal
Collect a reason when creating a ticket:
- Enable “Reason Required”
- Set reason prompt message
- Reason will be included in the ticket embed
Note: Confirmation and Reason modals are mutually exclusive.
Category Selection
Link panels to specific categories:
- Select a category from the dropdown
- Tickets created from this panel will use that category
- Leave empty to allow category selection
Managing Panels
Editing Panels
- Go to Panels
- Click on a panel to edit
- Modify settings as needed
- Click Save
Deleting Panels
- Go to Panels
- Click on a panel
- Click Delete
- Confirm deletion
Note: Deleting a panel doesn’t delete existing tickets.
Sending Panels
Panels are automatically sent when created. To resend:
- Go to Panels
- Click on a panel
- Click Send to Channel
- Select the channel
- Click Send
Best Practices
Panel Design
- Clear Titles: Use descriptive button labels
- Helpful Descriptions: Explain what the ticket is for
- Visual Appeal: Use colors and images appropriately
- Consistent Style: Keep panels consistent across your server
Panel Placement
- Dedicated Channels: Use separate channels for different panel types
- Pin Messages: Pin panel messages for visibility
- Regular Updates: Keep panels current and relevant
Panel Organization
- Categorize: Use categories to organize panels
- Limit Quantity: Don’t create too many panels
- Test First: Always test panels before using
Troubleshooting
Panel Not Appearing
- Check if panel was sent successfully
- Verify channel permissions
- Ensure bot has permission to send messages
Button Not Working
- Verify panel is still active
- Check bot permissions (Manage Channels)
- Ensure channel limit not reached
